We celebrate Homecoming tomorrow, but the Tailgate has been postponed until Senior Night. The Pep Rally will be held at 2:00 pm and the game being played at 7:00pm with the Court being presented at Halftime. Also tomorrow, Middle School Volleyball plays at home. Tuesday, Varsity Volleyball and Varsity Tennis play away, while Varsity Soccer plays at home. On Wednesday Varsity Tennis & Varsity Soccer play away. Middle School Football plays at home and Varsity Volleyball is away on Thursday. Friday is wear your favorite Book or Comic Book Character, and Varsity Football plays away. Good afternoon, Trenton Elementary and Jones Senior High School entered a shelter-in-place out of an abundance of caution at 2:00 p.m. today. We quickly determined that there was no threat on our campus, and the shelter-in-place was lifted. If students have signed the acceptable use policy and paid their fees, and do not have one please contact administration. If there are any hardships related to paying fees or signing an acceptable use policy please contact me. Also, on Wednesday tardies will be recorded, and cell phone and airpod referrals will be given for not following the SPEAR expectations. That afternoon, Varsity Tennis is away and Varsity Soccer Jones Senior hosts our first ever home game. On Thursday of this week Varsity Volleyball is away and Varsity Soccer game is home. Car riders should not be dropped-off before 7:50 unless there is a sibling ride issue or parent getting to work issue. If students have signed the acceptable use policy and paid their fees they should have received their device last week. As students pay fees and turn-in forms devices will be provided. On Wednesday September 6th, Varsity Tennis is home and Varsity Volleyball is away. Also, at 6:00pm there is the Class of 2024 Ice Cream Social in the cafeteria. Friday, September 1, Jones County Public Schools will operate on a two-hour delay. We look forward to students and staff returning to school on Friday. Students may be drop offed at 9:30am. Students should report to second period, which start at 10:00am.
Due to the potential of severe weather associated with Hurricane Idalia, Jones County Public Schools will be closed on Thursday, August 31st for students and staff. Students that have paid their fees and have a signed Acceptable Use Policy will receive their student issued iPad in first period tomorrow August 30th. Students were given paper copies of the acceptable use policy today for parents to sign. Parents please sign and return with your students tomorrow. If parents signed the electronic version we have a record of that already. If fees have not been paid, students should pay their third period teacher the $50. The JV and Varsity volleyball teams will be playing away at Eastern Christian Homeschool today. Spectators will need to bring their own chairs. Admission is $5. JV game starts at 4 PM. The address for the gym is:
